Join our Yoga instructor in this luxurious, revitalizing yogic escape covering picturesque landscape of terraced farmlands, sub-tropical Rhododendron forests, trails through local Gurung villages, Buddhist chortens and the mesmerizing view of the towering snow covered sacred Annapurna foothills – almost at a touching distance, while staying at comfortable luxury lodges of Ker and Downey. The silent meditation walks, outdoor yoga on the lap of the mountains and half day treks are sure to re-invigorate your soul and also allow you a keen insight into the culture and life of the Nepalese people in the rural regions.Â
Note: Our experienced Yoga instructor will lead a 1.5 hour each morning yoga sessions to energize you before treks and restorative yoga in the evenings to calm you after trekking, each day. Unlike the teahouses, you’ll have your own private bath with hot running water, cozy blankets, and down bedding warmed by a hot water bottle. And your food will come straight from the organic gardens on the property.Â

Our day will begin with yoga and meditation in the lush, green garden of our hotel led by an experienced Yoga instructor. After a wholesome breakfast, a full day sightseeing of UNESCO Heritage Sites Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur.
Bouddhanath, built in the 14th century is the world’s largest stupa and the holiest Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu with rich Buddhist symbolism, architecture and a site of pilgrimage, meditation and great veneration for Buddhists and local Nepalis.
Pashupatinath Temple, the largest temple complex in Nepal is one of the four most important religious sites for devotees of God Shiva. Built in the 5th century and later renovated, its main pagoda style temple has a gilded roof, four sides covered in silver and exquisite wood carvings. We observe the final rites of cremation as per Hindu tradition.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square, in the medieval city of Bhaktapur with its ancient temples, monuments and palaces are magnificent examples of Newari craftsmanship with their beautiful carved wooden windows and latticework. Their people are still renowned for their pottery and hand woven fabrics, including the traditional local red and black saris.

After an early morning Yoga Session, we fly to Pokhara (1000m). Upon arrival, we are rewarded with magnificent up-close views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Machhapuchhre, two of which are over 8000 meters.
We transfer by road (45 mins) with guides & porters to our trek starting point. Our walk will follow a ridge-line in the lower foothills of the Annapurnas with surrounding views of the Pokhara Valley. This route then drops to the Modi River Valley, where Ker & Downey Sanctuary Lodge is located. The lodge has magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchhre, as it is locally known. A picnic lunch is provided with a late afternoon arrival at the Lodge.

After morning Yoga, breakfast will be ready in the dining room. You will leave the lodge to start the trek through the scattered small farms. Following the Modi Khola (river) and with constant view of Mt. Machhapuchhre ahead, you will soon climb the valley towards the mountains. Passing through the rice fields and forest, you will arrive at the Himalaya Lodge in Ghandruk early afternoon to a hot lunch that is served on arrival as you enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Massif.

Leaving the Ghandruk village, the trek descends steeply to the banks of Modi River. Crossing the suspension bridge, we trek up into the Landruk village enjoying the views of Annapurna range passing through the cliffs where honey hunters climb up on the ropes to hunt the wild bee honey. Lunch will be ready as we arrive at our lodge. After lunch, you can either rest in your room enjoying the spectacular views of the mountains or go on a sightseeing tour in the village with your guide.

Starting your trek today, you continue trekking towards Patalekhet, a small village on the way towards Pothana where you stop. Pothana is another small village which is used by Tibetan traders to sell their souvenirs and gifts to tourists trekking up and down the Annapurna Base Camp. As you reach your lodge in Dhampus, you get the spectacular views of the entire Annapurna range. Once at the lodge you will be served hot lunch after which you can take a short walk into Dhampus village.

After breakfast, we depart along the ridge & descend through the wooded hillside and terraced farmland to the valley floor. We then transfer by vehicle to our hotel in Pokhara. You can use your free time to relax, get a massage, shop and explore on your own, strolling the buzzing tourist market and nightlife of Lakeside Pokhara with many lively restaurants and shops.

After breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to our hotel. After some rest, we begin half day sightseeing of Kathmandu’s most iconic and ancient UNESCO world heritage sites
Kathmandu Durbar Square is spread around the old royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom and surrounded with spectacular architecture that vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries. It held palaces of kings in the past and surrounds quadrangles, revealing courtyards and many famous temples.
Patan Durbar Square is full of ancient palaces, temples, and shrines noted for their exquisite carvings, extravagant wooden and stone work. One can rummage for treasures and souvenirs in the various shops around the square. The main attractions here are the ancient Royal Palace, Krishna Temple, Mahaboudha Stupa, The museum etc..
